Sheikhupura City Of Pakistan شیخوپورہ

  • The city of Akbar, inhabited by the Mughal ruler Nooruddin Saleem Jahangir, affectionately called his beloved son "Sheikhu" and named him Sheikhupura.


بہاولپور Bahawalpur

  • The city inhabited by Nawab Bahawal Khan, named after him, Bahawalpur, was for a time the capital of the state of Bahawalpur. It was the first state to annex with Pakistan.Until the formation of the One Unit, it was ruled by the Abbasi family.

پشاور Peshawar
  • Peshawar got its name from professionals, according to another tradition, Mahmud Ghaznavi gave it that name.


Faisalabad  فیصل آباد
  • It was settled by an Englishman Sir James Layle (Governor of Punjab). The city was named Lyallpur after him.It was later renamed after Saudi King  Shah Faisal.

Taxila ٹیکسلا

  • Taxila The center of Gandhara civilization is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is located 22 miles from Rawalpindi. It was occupied by Alexander  in 326 BC.

Jang جھنگ

  • Jhang The city once consisted of a few huts. The city was started centuries ago by Raja Serji Sial and thus the area was called Jhugi Sial which over time became Jhang Sial and then only Jhang remained.

Karachi کراچی


Karachi was a fisherman's settlement about 220 years ago. It was renamed Kalachi after Kalachu Baloch, then gradually became Karachi. It was given the status of a city in 1925.And From 1947 to 1959 it was the capital of Islamiuc Republic Of Pakistan.
